Week 24 February 10 -14

Hello parents,

We have been so busy with many projects and test coming up. This week was mid-quarter for quarter 3. Please continue to check your child's grades on Edline (contact the office for a login if you do not have one.) If you have any questions please let me know. Continue to encourage AR reading.

Jump Rope and Hoops for heart was a success. The kids had a great time and our class raised over $150. Thank you for participating.

Below is a speaker series that Zion offers that you may be interested in. Also look below for some additional pictures from our last two weeks.

Week 22 January 27 - 31

Hello parents,

We have had a wonderful National Lutheran Schools Week. Friday we had a 8th grade and versus teacher volleyball game and a knockout game. We had a special guest at the assembly today too - Louie the St. Louis Blues mascot. The kids in the audience were so excited and he did a great job engaging the kids.

I tried several times over the weekend to upload pics, but it just would not work and I gave up. I will include some next week if it works.

New Information:

Open House is set for Sunday, February 9th from 1-3 PM. If you have friends or neighbors with school age children, hand them the invitation coming home in Friday folders. We would love to meet them and tell them about all the things Zion has to offer.

No School on Friday, February 14th and Monday, February 17th.

Repeat Information:
Auction Round Up 2014 Auction Round Up time is here! The Round Up is for 2 weeks, January 27 - February 3rd. During those weeks parents can bring in new items to be donated for the auction (theme baskets, electronics, etc.). Please see form that was sent home in Friday folders.

Jump Rope For Heart and Hoops for Heart: Last week a informational form went home with the junior high. $5 donation for students to participate, $15 for participation and a t-shirt.

Trivia Night is Saturday, February 8th. Have you signed up for Trivia Night yet? Get a table of 8 together for a night of fun.  If you would like to volunteer instead of take part in the trivia side of things, please let Sharon Wilmes know, they can always use the help.

Grandparents Day is Friday, March 14.  Just as a long distance reminder. It is a noon dismissal day.  Book fair will also take place that day.

Have a great weekend!
