Week 30 March 23 - 27

Hello parents,

It has been great to be back to work! Thank you for the prayers and support over the last few weeks. My mother-n-law, Gloria Murray, is doing very well. She has started to drive and work around the house, so things have really improved. Now, we move on to the next step of beating colon cancer and that is chemo - but one step forward means closer to finishing the treatments.

My substitute, Terri Scheer, did a fantastic job with the students. I know it is hard to have a disruption in normal routine, but these kids did a great job.

Grandparents Day was a huge success. Pictures are below with the students Mrs. Scheer had in the room when she was picture taking. I heard so many amazing, positive comments about how well the 7th grade did - and truth be told - it made me so proud. We have been asked to perform it again for ACTS Bible study. Wonderful!

Achievement testing will be complete, by the end of the day Friday. They are excited to know that they do not have to take any next year. Thank you for getting your kids to school rested and ready to go.

Jefferson City field trip information is coming home this Friday. (March 27). All paperwork is due by Thursday, April 2. We need to have it early in order for nurses to prepare medication paperwork for us.

Easter Break: Last day of school before Easter Break is Thursday, April 2. This is a FULL DAY. No school on Good Friday, April 3. We come back to school on Monday, April 13. Have a blessed Holy Week, Easter celebration, and break from school.

Baby on the way! Room moms are planning a small baby shower for both classes to celebrate Mrs. Cluck upcoming bundle of joy. It is planned for May 8, from 1:30 - end of day. More information to come from me or room moms via email after the Zion Auction. Thank you to the room moms and Mrs. G. for organizing this.
